This policy explains what information McFaddin & Associates collects through this website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to this website. If you are a customer, you may also receive separate privacy notices from us or from your insurance carriers about your policies.
Who we are

Information you give us
You give us information when you send a message through our contact form or request a quote through one of our quote forms. Depending on the form, we ask for:
- Your name (or, for business quotes, your company name and the owner’s name), email address, phone number and street address.
- A subject line and a free-text message, which can include anything you choose to write.
- For auto, home, boat, motorcycle, life and disability quotes: your date of birth, and for some of them your marital status and gender.
- For life and disability quotes: whether you use tobacco, your height and weight, and, for disability quotes, your occupation. For life quotes, also the coverage amount and length of coverage you want.
- For auto and home quotes: your renewal date and current insurance company.
- For home quotes: details about the home, such as square footage and estimated value, and whether you have dogs or a pool.
- For boat quotes: details about the boat, such as year, make, model, hull type and horsepower.
- For motorcycle quotes: your driver’s license number and state, details about the motorcycle (year, make, model, VIN and engine size), the type of coverage you want, whether you are the only operator, and your current insurance company.
- For business quotes: the nature of your business and the type of coverage you are asking for.
Some of this information is sensitive, for example your date of birth, driver’s license number, and health-related details such as tobacco use, height and weight. You only need to provide what you are comfortable sharing, but we may not be able to prepare an accurate quote without it.
Please do not put Social Security numbers, payment card or bank details, or medical records in any form on this website. If we need something like that to move forward, we will tell you how to send it.
When you submit a form, it is delivered to our staff by email. Your name, email address and phone number are also sent to our staff as a text message so that we can respond quickly. Those texts are delivered through Mailgun and the staff member’s mobile phone carrier.
The contents of what you submit are not recorded in the technical logs of the form-processing system at Amazon Web Services. That system does keep basic technical records of each request, such as the time, whether it succeeded, your IP address and your browser type. Records made before this change may still exist until they are deleted.
Information collected automatically
- Google Analytics, only if you accept. If you choose Accept on our cookie banner, we use Google Analytics to see how the site is used: which pages are viewed, the type of device and browser, approximate location, and how visitors arrived at our site. If you do not accept, Google Analytics is not loaded.
- Google Fonts, whether or not you accept cookies. The fonts on this site are provided by Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google to fetch them when a page loads. This shares technical data such as your IP address with Google. It is not controlled by the cookie banner, and Accept or Decline does not change it.
- Technical data from our hosting providers. To deliver and secure the site, our hosting providers process technical information such as your IP address and browser type when your browser asks for a page.
How we use information

- To prepare quotes, and to place and service insurance.
- To run, secure and improve this website.
- To meet our legal obligations.
Who we share information with
- Insurance companies, so that we can get quotes for you and place coverage.
- Service providers that help us run the site and deliver your form submissions: Amazon Web Services (website hosting and form processing), Mailgun (delivery of email and text messages, with texts also passing through the staff member’s mobile phone carrier), and Google (fonts for every visitor, plus analytics and the map, only if you accept or choose to show the map).
- Others when the law requires it.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for other companies’ marketing.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files a website can store in your browser. On this site, analytics and the map are off unless you allow them. When you first visit, a banner asks you to Accept or Decline. Declining works the same as not answering: Google Analytics and the map are not loaded. The site’s fonts are the exception: they come from Google Fonts and load for every visitor, as described under “Information collected automatically” above.

Changing your mind. You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie Settings” button here or at the bottom of any page. If you decline after accepting, we stop analytics, delete the Google Analytics cookies we can reach, and remove the map until you allow it again.
If your browser has JavaScript turned off, no analytics or map cookies are set at all, and the contact page shows a link to open the map in Google Maps instead.
Do not track. This site does not respond specifically to “Do Not Track” or similar browser signals. Analytics runs only if you accept.
Links to other sites
Some pages send you to other websites, which have their own privacy policies that we do not control. These include Erie Insurance (for its online auto and home quotes), our health insurance quote portal at mcfaddinassoc.insxcloud.com, our business bond quote site at mcfaddinassociates.propeller.insure, and our profiles on social media and review sites. Please read their policies before you share information with them.
How long we keep information
We keep information for as long as we need it for the purposes described above and to meet legal and record-keeping requirements.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, and your connection to this site is encrypted. No website or system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You can contact us to ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. Some records may have to be kept because the law requires it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your information. To make a request, use the contact details below.
Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed.
